BROWNSVILLE
- is

CALEDONIA

was named for the ancient name of Scotland.
Caledonians celebrate their founding with an annual
Founders Day festival in June. Hiking, skiing, groomed
snowmobile trails, camping facilities, picnic areas, parks and playgrounds are available for your enjoyment.
Caledonia is the Wild Turkey Capital of Minnesota as well as one
of the oldest cities. The Caledonia Chamber of Commerce
is always willing to help a new business, to help with relocation or answer your
questions. Caledonia is criss-crossed with spring fed streams, hiking,
skiing & snowmobile trails with camping & a nine hole golf course close by.

CHATFIELD
- is home to the free Music Lending Library - the
only library of its kind in the world, and the Chatfield Brass
Band, with musicians from 26 Minnesota and Iowa communities. It
is one of those places that everyone needs to experience from
time to time. The downtown is filled with turn-of-the-century
buildings and the pace of life is slow. Enjoy -- fishing,

EITZEN
- a great place to live, and just as great to
visit, is located on Highway 76 at the point on which this very
scenic highway enters the state of Iowa. Whether you are a
sportsman, athletic sports enthusiast, antique fancier, or
historic buff, you'll find something of interest in Eitzen.
Turkey, deer, and pheasant abound; a historic museum is equally
interesting.
FOUNTAIN
- is the western gateway to the Root River State
Trail and the home of the Fillmore County Historical Center. The
center houses a complete museum of antiques, collectibles and
memorabilia from the past. It offers a comprehensive library of
information on the genealogy of Fillmore County and an airplane
constructed by Bernard Pietenpol, a pioneer aviator, is on display. Fountain’s 2007 Trail Days celebration will be held June 8, 9, 10th 2007.
HARMONY

MABEL
- is snuggled in the southeast corner of Fillmore
County and was named in 1879. The annual celebration, Steam
Engine Days, is held in the park the first weekend after Labor
Day. It features threshing machines powered by steam engines, two
gigantic parades, arts, crafts, antiques, and many other exciting
activities. Mabel is the home of the Mabel House Hotel, built in
1879. Visit the Steam Engine Museum or the nine hole golf course.
Watch for Amish buggies traveling in town.
PRESTON
- was incorporated in 1871 and is located in the
"driftless area" of southeast Minnesota. With
convenient access to Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park, the
Preston Trailhead of the Root River State Trail and nearby Amish
who frequent the community, Preston offers a peaceful, small town
atmosphere close to many interesting and invigorating activities.
RUSHFORD - as settled in 1854 and boasts of its four
seasons setting in the hardwood forest. The Root River State
Trail allows excellent hiking and biking. Canoe the Root River,
visit the Historic Depot & school museum, and enjoy the Creekside Children's Play Park. The city has plenty of lodging,
restaurants, recreation and a growing mix of shops with the
tourist in mind. Visit Rushford -- "sights to share".
SPRING GROVE

was the first Norse settlement
in Minnesota. All the sights and folklore are neatly wrapped into one package
waiting to delight you. Self-guided tours

SPRING VALLEY
- one of the sites along
the Laura Ingalls Wilder Highway, Spring Valley is home to the Methodist Church
Museum, the Washburn-Zittleman House Museum and is considered a Town that

WYKOFF
- came into being when the railroad
moved into the area in 1871 and is largely of German descent. The oldest
building is now a gift shop and tea room. Visit the National Historic District,
the limestone gymnasium, and the brick jail built in 1913, which is now a unique
bed and breakfast. Tour Ed’s Museum filled with memorabilia of yester year.
